Sweet Bear turned nine on Thursday, March 21, 2024. She gets very upset when her birthday is on a school day (so that's a problem) because she wants all her birthday festivities on one day and on her actual birthday. But we opened presents the night of her birthday and did a family move night/living room slumber party.
Berry frosted her own cake. All I can say is, it was delicious. Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting (as always). She didn't want any candles in it, so she blew out a side candle.
Crepes were the requested birthday breakfast (also in keeping with tradition), eaten the morning after.
Man, do we love our Bear.
In other March news, I chaperoned a field trip with Berry's class to the art museum by the Dove Library in Carlsbad.
Tiny also had a March field trip that ended at the park. (She's the tiny head in the very back.)
Michael and Kristen Latteier came to town to visit Michael's parents, so Sister Latteier invited us over for dinner with them. (Mike is Jim's roommate from L.A. during medical school, and his parents are in our ward.) Their people are so giant compared to our people.
Wrenzy and Ever took some optical illusion photos after finding the ideas online. Pretty funny.
This one appears to be trying to recreate my fake memory about being out in a hurricane and holding onto trees while my body blew up behind me.
