The Beginning of April: Sick, Clean, Stubborn, and Cute

Tiny got sick and pathetic. She got all flushed and tried to sleep in her high chair.

The next day she was still wrecked. She tried to sleep under her high chair.

Then she got better, and she and her twin enjoyed brushing their teeth together.

I've gotten super, shamefully lazy, and I almost never run in our neighborhood anymore. I went for the first time in forever and ran right by this snake, which appeared to be dead but still freaked me out:

The littles enjoyed bath time together.

We were in charge of watering the Subrebosts' plants while they were gone. One particularly busy day, we hadn't been able to get the watering done. That evening Jim took off for Home Depot while I took all the girls up the street. They were tired and really needed to get to bed, but the watering had to happen. I thought it might be a nice evening outing. Ever took her scooter. I took the umbrella stroller for the littles to trade off in. It was pleasant for 2/3 of the way up to Subrebosts', but then everyone fell apart. Ever didn't want to ride her scooter. If one of the littles was in the stroller, the other wanted to be. If one was pushing the stroller, the other had to push it. Everyone melted down. The return trip was a nightmare. Tiny "went to ground," as we call it. She just lay down and wouldn't come.  I was so close to home, yet I couldn't get there. It was crazy.

She seemed particularly interested in being on the curb or in the road, although I don't have a good pic of her in the road. (I tried not to let her remain there for long.)

I seriously could not get home. It was the most aggravating thing. Jim apologized later for running his errand and leaving me with the little people instead of getting them to bed. Stubborn Tiny:

Tiny is scared of lots of things. She is scared of "bellas" (dogs), even in the house when there are no dogs around.

Once she was outside and started crying and crying as if she was in serious distress. She was up on one of the little kiddie chairs out back. I finally went out and asked what was wrong, and she said, "I scared of birdies." She was watching birds on the lawn and fence and for some reason was terrified.

In the weeks leading up to Pat's Run, we talked about swimming in Arizona. Tiny became obsessed with the idea of swimming with Daddy and constantly repeated "I want to swim with Daddy" for no reason throughout the day.

So much cuteness. So glad I'm coming soon. Love Tiny's little voice. "Going to ground" is one of your finest inventions to date.
