I believe Tony was struggling that afternoon, and Uncle Jim was able to calm him down for a while.
That may have been the night we made pizza and apple pie. We had so many apples to use that we made two pies while we were there. The unfortunate news is we didn't have time to eat all of them.
Monday we went to the Maryland side of Great Falls. I'd only been to the Virginia side before. They'd had a ton of rain, so there was waaaaaay more water than usual. It was quite impressive.
Tiny was up and down and up and down the rocks.
She took an intermission from the rocks to try to fall off the fence.
Then Wren joined her in the rock climbing.
Tiny is the silliest. Sometimes she does weird things like decide she'll only cross a bridge on her knees.
Wrenzy did some balance-bream practice on the walk back to the car.
Coco had an appointment that afternoon, so we went back to the house and put the kids down for naps while she went out. Then we went for a walk around the neighborhood later. Ever sat in the bottom of the snap-and-go stroller and read a book. When will I stop being thrilled to see her reading books on her own?
Then things took a turn for the worse. Tiny lost her mind and threw a fit in the street. I think she and Wrenzy were having a dispute about stroller arrangements.
Bear Bear waited it out in the stroller. I think my kids' faces are the sweetest, but I know all parents think that.
Ever read on.
Jim carried Tiny for a little while.
That was not a sustainable solution, however, so we spent more time on the side of the road while Tiny wailed.
We eventually got the stroller situation figured out, and Ever had to walk. She was very upset about that. Jim tried to talk her down while Tiny finally gave up and fell asleep in the stroller. For a while, she inexplicably held her hands in the air as she fought to hang on:
She finally put her hands down.
And she was out.
Ever did not shape up, and the way back was pretty miserable. Kids.

I do love Great Falls. Sort of sad that our neighborhood walks dream did not come to fruition. I just need more strollers.
