At the very end of March, we went back to the Bear with Sam and his girls. We met at Snow Valley Saturday morning and skied. Then that afternoon, Jim and Sam worked to build up and extend the sledding run, and we enjoyed all the lovely snow.
I don't know why Jim and Sam look superimposed in the photo below, but it's amazing.
The girls never want to go on neighborhood walks, but we forced them. It's amazing how beautiful the world is when covered with snow (especially during the golden hour!).
Berry showed off a snow mustache.
Before bed, we watched soccer, and the girls ate ice cream and played a game.
On the way down the mountain on Sunday, I was rapturous over the snowy trees (and telephone poles).
It was Easter Sunday, and we (Jim) hadn't been able to do the usual basket prep before we left. So I had gotten a bunch of dollar bills, rolled them up, and put them in eggs, and then I'd put several eggs and a little candy in each of the girls' baskets. I thought it seemed a little pathetic, but the girls were actually quite psyched.
